Catherine Walters is a Partner in Saul Ewing's Business and Finance Department. She represents employers, both private and public, union and nonunion, in all areas of labor and employment law. Facets of her practice include affirmative action planning and compliance, employment discrimination prevention and defense, wage and hour issues, drafting and enforcing employment, noncompetition and other restrictive agreements, management labor relations, contract negotiations and arbitrations, wrongful discharge defense, and all other issues relating to the employer-employee relationship.
Catherine is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and serves on the In-House Counsel Committee, the Civil and Equal Rights Committee, and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee. She is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the American Bar Association, and serves on the Employee Rights and Responsibilities Committee and the Equal Employment Opportunity Committee. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of WITF, Inc. (public media/public broadcasting), the Business Diversity Council of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber of Commerce and CREDC, and serves on the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry Labor Professionals Workgroup and Unemployment Compensation Reform Workgroup. From 2004-2009, Catherine served on the Board of Directors of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber of Commerce, and from 1999-2004, she served on the Board of Directors of the Capital Region Economic Development Corporation.
She frequently lectures and writes on employment and labor law issues.
