An associate in the Litigation Department, Cory S. Winter concentrates his practice on commercial litigation.

Before joining Saul Ewing, Cory was temporarily seconded to Dickinson College where he helped draft legal responses related to a student injury, researched a tax and benefits issue, and analyzed federal and state records retention laws. He also assisted in handling a software licensing dispute with a major software vendor in addition to analyzing numerous contractual matters.

Cory participated in Saul Ewing's 2008 Summer Expedition program where he drafted legal memoranda and other documents on procedural and evidentiary matters and assisted in preparing for various court proceedings. He has experience in drafting appellate briefs, trial briefs, pleadings, and other litigation documents.

While in law school Cory served as the editor in chief for the Widener Law Journal. He also served as a certified legal intern with the Harrisburg Civil Law clinic where he represented indigent clients on matters involving financial restructuring, the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, and other civil matters. In that capacity, Cory counseled a nonprofit in submitting numerous Freedom of Information Act requests and requests under the Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law.

In addition to his Pennsylvania bar admission, Cory is admitted to practice law before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
