Edith Altice is an associate in the Bankruptcy and Restructuring Practice. Edith focuses her practice in commercial bankruptcy matters and out-of-court workouts. She has represented debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, equity committees and other parties in cases in various jurisdictions, including, Maryland, Delaware, and New York. Edith's experience includes involvement in numerous phases of Chapter 11 reorganization proceedings, from the commencement of a case through to plan confirmation proceedings, as well as experience in Chapter 7 liquidation proceedings. She has significant bankruptcy-related litigation experience involving discovery, briefing, settlement negotiations, and trial in connection with substantive consolidation proceedings, preference, fraudulent conveyance and lien avoidance proceedings, and other adversary proceedings. Most recently, Edith gained substantial experience negotiating with landlords of commercial real property leases, and was one of the core group of attorneys at Saul Ewing who represented the debtors in the chapter 11 cases of Owens Corning, et al.
