Matthew Kraeuter concentrates his practice on general commercial litigation and utility-related litigation.

While Matthew initially joined Saul Ewing as an associate in February 2010, he left temporarily to clerk for the Honorable Paul W. Grimm, Chief Magistrate Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. During his clerkship, Matthew focused on discovery practice, including e-discovery, and the Federal Rules of Evidence. In addition, Matthew assisted Judge Grimm while he presided over civil jury trials. Prior to joining Saul Ewing, Matthew was a law clerk with the Maryland Office of the Attorney General, Department of Human Resources. In this position, he researched and drafted trial court motions and appellate briefs dealing with constitutional, statutory and regulatory issues, and provided discovery and other support to the litigation team. In law school, Matthew was an intern for the Honorable Richard D. Bennett of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.

In addition to his membership to the Maryland Bar, Matthew is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
