Nancy S. Hearne is a member of Saul Ewing's Personal Wealth, Estates and Trusts Practice Group and works in our Princeton and Philadelphia offices. She focuses on estate and tax planning, estate and guardianship disputes and the creation and continuing representation of both public and private charitable organizations. Ms. Hearne assists families with a broad range of tax and personal wealth planning issues and works with them to create plans which are often multi-generational and innovative. She has extensive experience and devotes significant time to working with families in establishing and operating private foundations.
A court approved mediator in the State of New Jersey, Ms. Hearne is called upon by both the Superior Court and private parties to mediate estate and guardianship disputes.
Ms. Hearne creates, and acts as general counsel to, many public and private charitable organizations. Her practice includes advising clients on the appropriate choice of entity, acting as an advisor with regard to ongoing operations, tax matters and business transactions. She has been involved in obtaining favorable private letter rulings from the Internal Revenue Service.
Ms. Hearne frequently speaks at local gatherings on the subject of estate planning. She serves on the boards of several private foundations and community charitable organizations.
