Fred Strober is a seasoned real estate attorney who concentrates his practice on construction-related matters and real estate development. His is counsel for numerous hospitals and health care institutions, school districts, universities, and office building owners, for whom he negotiates architectural, general construction, and construction management agreements. He lectures frequently on construction law issues with other members of Saul Ewing’s Construction Practice Group. Mr. Strober is Immediate Past Managing Partner of the Firm's Philadelphia office and served as the Firm's Executive Partner from 1994 to 1998.
Mr. Strober is active in several non-profit organizations and lectures frequently on board governance matters. Since 1997, he has served as counsel to the non-profit corporation involved in the revitalization of the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard.
Since 2001, Mr. Strober, who has a Masters degree in Educational Administration, has served as counsel to the School District of Philadelphia and the School Reform Commission. In that capacity, he has structured and negotiated contracts with the seven private entities, including two Philadelphia-area universities, for the management of 45 Philadelphia schools, as part of a reform initiative considered the most ambitious of its kind in the nation. He also is involved in the School District's program of partnering with major universities, cultural institutions, and corporations.
Mr. Strober has also served as an adjunct faculty member at Temple University School of Law, teaching real estate transactions.
