Ryan Gager is an Associate in the Personal Wealth, Estates and Trusts Practice Group. In addition to helping families and individuals with estate planning and administration, he concentrates his practice on fiduciary litigation and on the creation and management of special needs trusts. Mr. Gager is also a contributing writer of Personal Wealth Law News, a law blog hosted by the Firm that reviews developments in areas of the law that help people to accumulate, preserve and pass on wealth.
Mr. Gager represents beneficiaries and fiduciaries in disputes over the validity, interpretation and administration of wills and trusts. He counsels clients to help them avoid and solve problems that may arise over the transfer of wealth, and represents clients in proceedings before the Register of Wills and Pennsylvania Orphans' Courts. Mr. Gager also represents and frequently advises executors and trustees, both individual and corporate, on the administration of estates and trusts, including advising on fiduciary responsibilities and duties and the preparing and filing of federal and state death tax returns.
Mr. Gager counsels both corporate and individual fiduciaries with respect to the creation and maintenance of special needs trusts and guardianships, including advising clients on the proper disposition of court awards and litigation settlements. Mr. Gager has experience petitioning Orphans' Court for approval of the appointment of guardians, the creation of special needs trusts and disbursements from special needs trusts.
