Bruce V. Miller

Bruce Miller is Special Counsel in the Newark office and serves as Vice Chair of the Firm's Energy and Utilities Practice Group.

Mr. Miller regularly appears before public utility commissions and boards and before state and federal courts on behalf of electric, gas and water companies. He also advises developers of electric power generation and natural gas facilities. Some of Mr. Miller's representative matters include complex rate proceedings, prudence matters, electric and gas restructuring proceedings, international arbitrations, contract negotiations, regulatory approvals for mergers and acquisitions of energy companies and approvals for the siting of electric generation and natural gas facilities.

Mr. Miller began his legal career as staff counsel for the New York Public Service Commission and then handled licensing activities of power plants for Stone & Webster Engineering Corporation. He has served as in-house counsel for rate matters for American Electric Power Service Corporation, as well as Secretary to the Executive Committee of the Northeast Power Coordinating Council, the entity responsible for electric reliability in New York, New England, Quebec, Ontario and the Maritime Provinces.

Mr. Miller is admitted to practice in New York and Pennsylvania and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims where he represents veterans on a pro bono basis.
