Anessa Abrams is a Partner in Saul Ewing’s Business Department. Ms. Abrams focuses on the representation of management in labor and employment law. She has represented clients in a variety of industries, including defense, retail, banking, tree care, construction, restaurant, and higher education, as well as trade associations. Ms. Abrams has experience in many areas of labor and employment law, including workplace discrimination and harassment; retaliation; reasonable accommodation; family and medical leave; wrongful discharge; wage and hour issues; breach of contract; employment torts; and the National Labor Relations Act and Labor Management Relations Act.

In addition, Ms. Abrams counsels employers on employment policies, handbooks, job applications, training materials, severance agreements and releases. She has also investigated allegations of inappropriate workplace conduct.

Ms. Abrams represents employers before federal and state administrative agencies and courts. She has represented clients in federal jury and bench trials and before the American Arbitration Association.

Ms. Abrams is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and District of Columbia and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fourth and Tenth Circuits.
