White Collar Practice hosts “Theater-in-the-Round” CLE
Professional Death Penalty: The Current Process By Which the Government Can End the Career of a Pharma, Med Device, or Healthcare Executive
The White Collar and Government Enforcement Practice will join three in-house counsel panelists to re-enact the oral arguments and opinion rendered by the D.C. Court of Appeals in a key exclusion case, Friedman v. Sebelius.
This program will bring to life the arguments made by the government and counsel for the pharma executives whose professional futures were at stake. Panelists will include:

- Andrew Van Haute, Associate General Counsel, AdvaMed
Attendees will leave the program understanding the legal bases for exclusion of healthcare, pharmaceutical and medical device executives, the process for carrying out exclusion, the arguments advanced by both sides of the Friedman v. Sebelius case, the holding of the D.C. Court of Appeals from July 2012, and the questions that remain.
