Saul Ewing LLP receives "Firm Diversity Award"
December 21, 2011 – The Black Law Students Association (BLSA) at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law has selected Saul Ewing LLP as the 2012 recipient of the Firm Diversity Award in recognition of its recruitment and retention of minority attorneys.
"This is a wonderful honor," said Orlan M. Johnson, chair of the Diversity Committee. "We are gratified to know that our efforts to promote diversity internally and in the legal profession generally are being recognized by the Black Law Students Association. It is a work in progress, but every year we see progress and that keeps us moving forward."
The award will be presented at the 37th Annual Scholarship and Awards Banquet, Celebrating Culture & Community, on March 2, 2012 at the Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Park in Baltimore. Dr. Freeman Hrabowski, III, president of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, will deliver the keynote address.
