Conveniently located in the nation's capital, Saul Ewing's Washington, D.C. office offers its domestic and international clients the Firm’s full range of business and litigation services in addition to services traditionally attributable to a law practice in the nation’s capital, including regulatory advice and support to its clients before state and federal agencies and commissions and matters in front of Congress and the Executive branch of government.
The Firm's Washington, D.C office is well known for handling complex commercial trial and appellate litigation and its attorneys regularly appear in the federal and state court systems in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia and elsewhere throughout the country in matters including business disputes, insurance coverage, professional liability, intellectual property, construction, real estate, labor and employment and maritime, shipping and port interests.
Its labor, employment and employee benefits attorneys represent clients in a wide variety of matters in addition to litigation before agencies like the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Department of Labor, PBGC and IRS. This nationally recognized group also provides a broad range of human resource advice to Firm clients around the world.
Its corporate, tax and business lawyers are also well known for handling a full range of M & A, private equity, venture capital and debt transactions in addition to general business counseling in many industries, including life sciences, technology and government contracts. The office also houses the Firm’s gaming and racino practice, with attorneys who represent owners, operators, applicants, borrowers, lenders and vendors throughout the country that are involved in the casino, resort, horse racing and gambling businesses.
Its highly-regarded real estate and land-use attorneys represent land owners, developers, borrowers and lenders and have left their imprint on some of the most iconic developments throughout the Washington Metro area and nationwide.
In 2011, the office moved to 1919 Pennsylvania Avenue, within the Central Business District and in close proximity to the White House, World Bank, International Monetary Fund and George Washington University.
