Armon and Crowder review case about discovery rules for IRB

Bruce D. Armon, co-chair of the Health Practice, and Dawn Crowder, an associate in the Business and Finance Practice, wrote about a California Court of Appeals decision supporting a hospital’s right not to disclose its Institutional Review Board records as part of discovery in a malpractice case. The ruling from the Second Appellate District reversed the trial court’s decision that the discovery rules applied because the IRB included members that were not physicians.
