Saul Ewing Attorney Jeffrey W. Letwin Elected Chairman of the Board of Port Authority of Allegheny County
Saul Ewing LLP, a full-service law firm with more than 260 lawyers in 11 East Coast offices, today announced that Jeffrey W. Letwin, an attorney in the Pittsburgh office, has been elected Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Port Authority of Allegheny County. He will serve a one-year term.
The Port Authority of Allegheny County provides public transportation throughout the city of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. Its 2,600 employees operate, maintain and support bus, light rail, incline and paratransit services for approximately 200,000 daily riders. The Authority is governed by an 11-member Board of Directors, which holds monthly public meetings.
At Saul Ewing, Mr. Letwin counsels businesses in complex matters including corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, securities, franchising, municipal and government services, real estate finance and development. He also advises enterprises in the interface between governmental and economic development agencies and devises financing strategies utilizing both private and public partnerships.
Mr. Letwin earned his law degree from American University, Washington College of Law, and his undergraduate degree from University of Pittsburgh.
