Silvia Shin is firm’s 2017 LCLD Fellow
Saul Ewing LLP, a full service law firm with more than 270 lawyers in 11 East Coast offices, today announced that Silvia A. Shin, a partner in the firm’s Public Finance Practice, has been selected as the 2017 Fellow to the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD).
LCLD brings together more than 265 corporate general counsels and law firm managing partners to participate in programs that promote diversity in the legal profession. Launched in 2011, the Fellows program has provided more than 1,000 mid-career attorneys with opportunities to build professional relationships, participate in training and peer group projects and connect with LCLD’s top leadership, all with the goal of increasing diversity at the leadership levels of the nation’s law firms and corporate legal departments.
Silvia, who is resident in the firm’s Wilmington, Delaware Office, is a public finance attorney who regularly serves as bond counsel, underwriter's counsel and borrower's counsel for a variety of tax-exempt and taxable public finance transactions. In these roles, she focuses primarily on advising issuers, underwriters, borrowers and purchasers on legal matters associated with structuring, issuing, offering, remarketing and restructuring municipal debt instruments.
Silvia is also a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers and is a founding board member, past president and current board member of Ladies First, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational and networking opportunities for female public finance professionals in the Mid-Atlantic region.
