Amy L. Piccola
Amy Piccola represents clients facing complex commercial litigation particularly for the insurance and higher education industries. Her work for insurers and reinsurers includes matters related to bad faith, failure to pay, and breach of contract. She also collaborates with other insurance attorneys in the firm to keep the industry apprised of developments in the law of insurance bad faith claims through the publication of Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr's monthly Bad Faith Sentinel.
In addition to representing colleges and universities in litigation, Amy provides them with advice on issues of compliance, policy, and liability. She also provides counsel to higher education institutions during investigations, particularly those involving the Clery Act and Title IX.
In addition to her bar admission in Pennsylvania, Amy is barred in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
On the pro bono front, Amy assists veterans in obtaining benefits from the Veterans' Administration. She has also represented multiple criminal defendants pursuant to Criminal Justice Act appointments.
