Overview

Carolyn Toll is a member of the Litigation Department in the firm's Philadelphia office. She maintains a general litigation practice, focusing on higher education matters. Carolyn advises institutions of higher education on matters involving issues related to Title IX, Title VI, and other civil rights and discrimination statutes. She also has experience in litigation, conducting internal fact-finding investigations on behalf of colleges and universities, and responding to U.S. Department of Education investigations and complaints. In addition, Carolyn provides assistance with drafting and revising handbooks and policies on issues ranging from Title IX and sexual harassment to program and department operations. Carolyn also assists with matters in the K-12 Practice and complex litigation space.

Carolyn attended Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude. While earning her law degree, Carolyn was a Saul Ewing summer associate.  She also interned at Elwyn, where she assisted the general counsel of a human services organization that serves children and adults with disabilities.

Prior to attending law school, Carolyn was a special education teacher.
