Dan Altchek has a national practice representing unionized employers, and employers who wish to remain union-free, in their labor relations and human resources issues.

Whether Dan is serving clients as their lead negotiator at the bargaining table, their litigator, or their trusted counselor – and often in all of these roles –  Dan focuses on providing effective, practical solutions that align with their labor objectives. A diverse array of employers including public companies, privately held businesses, and non-profits rely on Dan's legal and strategic advice when issues arise with their union-represented employees. Dan also has extensive experience representing municipalities, public authorities, public utilities, and other governmental employers in collective bargaining and related matters involving public safety and civilian bargaining units.

Dan represents clients in grievance arbitrations over discipline and contractual disputes, in proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board and state labor boards, in interest arbitration, and in federal and state courts. He also regularly provides guidance to unionized and non-union clients alike on terminations, internal investigations and discipline, wage and hour compliance, and compensation and benefits issues.
