Erin E. Westbrook
Erin Westbrook assists corporate clients as well as closely held and family-owned businesses with matters involving their intellectual property and business disputes. Her experience includes counseling and litigation involving trademarks, patents, copyrights, trade secrets, contract and fiduciary duties. She also advises on intellectual property issues ranging from license agreements and brand strategy to social media use and proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Clients also look to her for advice on compliance with regulations and laws about product claims in their advertising and on websites and social media.
Erin's appreciation for the challenges business face is also influenced by her prior experience as a business consultant and Certified Public Accountant. In her accounting role, she led internal reviews of financial processes, conducted internal and external audits, and designed and implemented new financial processes to reduce risk and maintain compliance with regulations.
Prior to entering private practice, Erin was a law clerk for Chief Judge Matthew E. Johnson of the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
