Geoff Gamble is a litigator who focuses on insurance disputes, consumer financial services matters, and shareholder issues. He has extensive experience handling these and other complex commercial matters in federal and state courts and before private arbitration panels.

Geoff represents insurance companies and brokers in complex litigation involving a variety of issues, including coverage disputes, benefit denials (including bad-faith actions), and claims of fraud and misrepresentation. Geoff has significant experience defending insurers in state and federal courts and before the Maryland Insurance Administration.

Geoff counsels and defends banks, financial service companies, and other consumer-facing clients in connection with claims arising from federal and state consumer protection laws.

Geoff principally defends clients in both individual and class actions arising under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Maryland Consumer Debt Collection Act, and the Maryland Consumer Protection Act, among other federal and state consumer protection statutes. Many of his clients' contracts contain arbitration clauses and Geoff has vast experience counseling clients and enforcing their arbitration rights.

Geoff advises public and private companies, management, boards and directors, and board committees on a range of corporate governance matters, including allegations of breach of fiduciary duties, conflicts of interest and related-party transactions, shareholder demand response, and special litigation committee formation and investigations. Geoff is frequently engaged to serve as Maryland counsel on shareholder disputes for corporate clients, particularly real estate investment trusts (REITs), in single shareholder suits and class actions.
