Meghan J. Talbot assists clients with complex commercial and appellate litigation across a variety of industries in the state and federal courts. She also advises on regulatory, public policy, and compliance issues for industry clients. Meghan has particular experience with environmental matters and has worked extensively with institutions of higher education.

Meghan's pro bono practice includes advocacy in support of civil rights and First Amendment issues.

Before entering law school, Meghan worked for a global corporate immigration law firm, which represented multinational companies in employment-based immigration matters. She also served as an AmeriCorps volunteer in a low-income health clinic in Philadelphia.

Environmental Litigation
Multinational natural resources producer in a successful motion for alter ego liability in multi-million dollar environmental remediation claim, resulting in holding that defendant was successor-in-interest to zinc processing company and potentially liable for client's cleanup costs in CERCLA action.
National energy client in successful defense of a motion to pierce corporate veil, resulting in holding that client was not liable for contribution towards CERCLA remediation.
Multinational chemical company in successful motion to dismiss CERCLA and RCRA claims.
Higher Education
Large public university in obtaining dismissal of federal civil rights claims brought by former athletic coaches (currently on appeal before the Third Circuit).
Large public university in assistance with civil litigation matters stemming from claims brought by alleged sexual abuse victims.
Large state university system in proactive internal audit for compliance with the Clery Act.
Multiple institutions in policy preparation and implementation, particularly in areas of child protection and background checks.
