​Michael Scales is a member of the Litigation Department and Life Sciences and Intellectual Property Litigation Practice in the Firm's Newark office. Michael handles complex matters related to pharmaceutical patents, with a specific focus on litigation under the Hatch-Waxman Act. His experience includes writing briefs, drafting motions and pleadings, research and analyzing discovery.

Michael was a judicial clerk for The Hon. Joseph L. Yannotti in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division. While earning his J.D. at Rutgers Law School, he served as a judicial intern for The Hon. Madeline Cox Arleo in the U. S. District Court for District of New Jersey. He was also an intern for the New York State Office of the Attorney General. During his final year of law school, Michael served as a teaching associate for the Legal Analysis, Writing and Research Skills (LAWRS) course.
