Phillip M. Daniels

Phillip Daniels handles an array of corporate matters, including work related to mergers and acquisitions, contracts, and real estate. Drawing on his previous experience working as senior corporate counsel for Intertek, Phillip understands the needs of in-house counsel in the professional services industry, especially companies in the fields of engineering and construction.

In his previous role, Phillip negotiated and drafted thousands of state, federal and private contracts annually, including complex agreements involving public-private partnerships and design-build project delivery  systems. He brings this same skill set to his work at the Firm along with his experience providing legal advice in mergers and acquisitions including: due diligence reviews; negotiations and drafting of contracts, confidentiality agreements and stock plans; and advising on government and regulatory agency compliance and post-closing and integration  issues. Phillip also helps companies broker lease agreements and protect their interests during real property disputes.

Because Phillip has experience managing professional and commercial general liability claims and procuring insurance, he is well positioned to counsel corporate clients on legal risks and how to minimize them through their business practices. His litigation background includes defending against professional negligence claims, discrimination claims, and advising on other employment law issues.

Before working in-house, Phillip was a solo practitioner who advised business clients on: business formation; corporate governance; real estate; contracts; and compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
