Arnstein & Lehr Miami Partner Ronnie Fieldstone will be participating in an EB-5 seminar on February 6 in Miami. The seminar will focus on issues within the EB-5 industry. Specifically, as larger players are entering the market and with increasing scrutiny by SEC and USCIS, the EB-5 market is becoming more institutionalized.

Arnstein & Lehr Miami Partner Ronald R. Fieldstone recently returned from Beijing and Shenzhen, China, where he presented to one of the countries three largest migration agents on securities compliance, securities due diligence and pre-immigration tax planning. Migration agents are middle persons that promote EB-5 regional centers’ offerings abroad and assist prospective EB-5 investors with their personal and financial paperwork for a fee. They must be licensed to work with applicants in the United States.

Mr. Fieldstone and two immigration attorneys he works closely with were interviewed by six journalists from various Chinese publications. He spoke in connection with certain SEC related items and the state of EB-5 regulations. The press conference was arranged by a client who has a number of regional centers and projects throughout New York, New Jersey and Florida.
