Intellectual Property Legal Assistant
Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr LLP seeks IP Legal Assistant with patent prosecution experience for sophisticated Intellectual Property practice in its Philadelphia office. Candidate must have at least 5 years' prior experience in the Patent Prosecution practice area of law. In this position, you will attend to all aspects of USPTO, PCT and foreign filings; prepare correspondence with clients and foreign agents; and manage various projects as assigned. The following experience and abilities are preferred: Basic knowledge of latest issues/trends regarding US and foreign patent law; knowledge and understanding of USPTO rules and regulations; proficient in preparing all aspects of patent prosecution documents such as: patent prosecution formalities, responses to missing parts, PTO Office Action responses, Sequence Listings, preparing IDSs, recording assignments and paying Issue Fees; the ability to generate forms to accompany USPTO and Patent Cooperation Treat (PCT) filings; knowledge and experience of national phase filings; experience in docketing and docketing tools; strong attention to detail; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to prioritize and set timelines; and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
