James A. Keller

Jim Keller defends colleges and universities and advises them on critical issues of compliance, policy, and liability. Jim has led teams in both proactive and reactive internal investigations across a wide swath of higher education compliance and risk management issues, including compliance with the Clery Act, Title IX, student deaths, hazing, sexual assault, and alcohol abuse and use on campus. Jim has also provided Title IX training and presentations across the country, and is actively defending civil actions that include Title IX claims. Jim also serves as general counsel to several colleges and universities that do not have inside counsel.

 

Amy Link

Amy Link focuses on employment-based and family-based immigration, handling Immigrant and Nonimmigrant visas including: O-1 and EB-1 Visas for Aliens of Extraordinary Ability; L1A, L1B and I-140 Intracompany Transferee Visas; E2 Treaty Trader and Investor Visas, H1B Professional Work Visas, and EB-5 Investor Visas. She has extensive experience filing the PERM Labor Certifications and National Interest Waiver Petitions. She has represented numerous clients in asylum, deportation, exclusion, and removal proceedings, as well as in their N400 Naturalization and I-130 Adjustment of Status interviews. She has drafted successful Motions To Reopen to the BIA and Appellate Briefs to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.

 

William D. Nussbaum

Bill Nussbaum handles complex litigation for colleges, universities and other institutions of learning that are facing  sensitive disputes around issues such as racial and gender discrimination and employee misconduct. His skill at managing legal teams to present difficult cases comes from 37 years of experience handling general civil litigation, including more than 80 jury and many more non-jury trials and injunction proceedings in federal and state courts, as well as arbitrations and other contested matters throughout the United States and overseas.

Jim Taylor represents colleges and universities nationwide. He has been lead counsel in several lawsuits brought by students alleging a violation of Title IX, has provided training on Title IX and VAWA compliance, revised and been consulted on related policies and assisted institutions in responding to investigations by the Office for Civil Rights for the U.S. Department of Education. Jim has also been lead counsel on matters involving student death, hazing, assaults and student or student group (including fraternity and sorority) discipline.
