Effectively Preventing, Managing, and Presenting Construction Disputes in the Age of the "New Normal"

The 2022 American Arbitration Association® Construction Conference focuses on the growing complexities of construction projects, preventing disputes often inevitable in these projects, and creating dispute resolution strategies to mitigate risk and keep projects on track.

A Breakfast with General Counsel opens the conference, discussing current issues important to construction companies, continuing with sessions on:

  • Key Issues in Presenting Disruption and Delay Cases;
  • Discovery Best Practices for Construction Arbitration (where Lisa Colon will speak);
  • Consolidation and Joinder in Construction Disputes;
  • Challenges, Cultural Differences, and Conflict Management Options for International Disputes;
  • Ethics in Arbitration; and more.

Attendees will leave with techniques and best practices to help them adapt their dispute resolution strategies for complex construction projects in our “new normal.


**Due to the ongoing COVID pandemic, New York Law School requires all attendees to provide proof of up to date vaccination as defined by the CDC, which includes all recommended doses in the primary series and one booster. In the alternative, the School will accept a negative viral COVID test administered by a healthcare professional taken within 3-days prior to the Conference date. Affirmations and proof of vaccination status or negative COVID test within 72 hours before arrival to the meeting is required to attend.
