The New Overtime Regulations: What Is An Employer To Do?
With the impending December 1 deadline for a 100% increase in the salary level for exempt employees, employers must now evaluate many positions and implement significant changes to ensure FLSA compliance. Organizations are looking for straightforward answers to apply these new regulations in a way that is both practical and effective. This workshop will provide strategies for employers in deciding how to compensate presently-exempt employees whose current pay falls below the new salary-level thresholds. We also will offer suggested time-keeping and compensation practice and policy revisions and discuss proactive implementation action steps to address potential employee unrest, salary compression concerns, and other impacts on the workplace caused by the new regulations.
