The New Overtime Regulations: What Is An Employer To Do?

Event Dates: August 25, 2016
Services: Labor and Employment

With the impending December 1 deadline for a 100% increase in the salary level for exempt employees, employers must now evaluate many positions and implement significant changes to ensure FLSA compliance. Organizations are looking for straightforward answers to apply these new regulations in a way that is both practical and effective. This workshop will provide strategies for employers in deciding how to compensate presently-exempt employees whose current pay falls below the new salary-level thresholds. We also will offer suggested time-keeping and compensation practice and policy revisions and discuss proactive implementation action steps to address potential employee unrest, salary compression concerns, and other impacts on the workplace caused by the new regulations. Join us on August 25 for a 90-minute workshop and breakfast which will include both lecture and peer discussions where all of these issues will be analyzed, vetted, and discussed at length. The presentation will be held at Saul Ewing’s Newark office, One Riverfront Plaza, 1037 Raymond Boulevard, Suite 1520, in Newark, New Jersey. The event begins with registration at 8:00 a.m. followed by the workshop at 8:30 a.m.
