Webinar: How the Opioid Crisis is Affecting Insurers and Employers
September 14, 2017

Addiction in America is presenting significant challenges within the insurance industry and requiring employers to tackle difficult issues regarding employee drug use. Join us for this webinar to hear how the opioid crisis is directly affecting insurers and employers. The discussion will focus on the challenges associated with insurance coverage including health plan coverage, the industry trends that insurers should keep in mind moving forward and accommodation issues facing employers. Additionally, as the opioid crisis increases, other types of medical treatment options are being considered for health issues that have been traditionally treated with opioids, including increased prescriptions for medical marijuana as it becomes legalized in more states. Employers need to understand accommodation issues under both federal and state law as this potential trend continues.

The program runs from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. (EST); 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (CST)
