Elizabeth Witmer, partner and co-chair of the Real Estate, Environmental and Energy Practice, presents at a session during the 9th annual Platts Appalachian Oil & Gas Conference at the Fairmont Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The conference brings industry leaders together to analyze critical topics affecting the oil and gas industry. Elizabeth’s session will narrow in on FERC approval and social issues affecting the pipeline industry. She will touch on some key points including state vs. federal (FERC) approval and other jurisdiction issues, trends in public concerns and activism, public outreach and engagement efforts and drivers such as demand-pull or supply-push. The session will also include a status update on current projects in the Northeast.
