Asimos and Shapiro speak at Pennsylvania Land Conservation Conference

George Asimos, a partner in the Real Estate Practice, and Harry D. Shapiro, a partner in the Tax Practice, presented a "Tax Law for Conservationists" seminar at the Pennsylvania Land Conservation Conference on Friday, May 4, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

George and Harry discussed the income tax and estate tax provisions of the Internal Revenue Code, as well as treasury regulations and related cases. Their seminar helped conservation practitioners better understand tax law regarding the donation of a conservation easement.

George and Harry have active practices in the area of conservation easements. Saul Ewing has been involved in the legal aspects of creating conservation easements on more than 75,000 acres of land in a dozen states.
