A Matter of Respect

Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr’s Susan Barrett, an associate in the Firm’s Business & Finance Practice, moderates a February 20 Ethics CLE discussion session titled “A Matter of Respect. Ethical Duties in the Practice of Law regarding the Treatment of Others: Lessons to be learned from Trauma Informed Strategies and Approaches Taken in the Educational Environment.”  Presenters include Vice Chancellor for Diversity & Inclusion from the University of Pittsburgh and the Court Administrator of the Fifth Judicial District of Pennsylvania, Children’s Court.

The session is the first of a series to be held by the Women's Bar Association that will discuss the ethical obligations of attorneys in matters of respect impacting on the practice of law, including treatment of attorneys, clients, plaintiffs, defendants, witnesses, and victims, and the use of developing constructs in courts and education to ensure the practice maintains dignity and respect for all with whom we come in contact as attorneys.
