Cooperman to present program for ACC Baltimore Chapter
Harriet E. Cooperman, co-chair of the Labor, Employment and Employee Benefits Practice, will provide a luncheon presentation on updates in employment law for the Association of Corporate Counsel, Baltimore Chapter.
Their presentation will review some of the critical changes in the area of labor and employment law for employers including:
- How the NLRB’s recent pronouncements on social media, confidentiality, workplace investigations, courtesy and other employment policies and activity impact your business, even if your company is not unionized;
- The D.C. Circuit’s ruling declaring President Obama’s recess appointments to the NLRB unconstitutional and the possible impact of this decision, and
- New EEOC regulations on criminal background checks; and Maryland’s 2012 statute regulating employer access to employee social media accounts.
