Several of the Firm’s Higher Education Practice members present at the 2019 National Association of Colleges and University Administrators 2019 Annual Conference in Denver, CO the week of June 23-28.

Sandy Bilus, a partner in the Firm’s Cybersecurity and Privacy Practice, participates in a panel titled Ethics in Social Media on Sunday, June 23. Sandy and panelists discuss using social media under the ABA Model Rules or Professional Conduct, common sense usage and common pitfalls to avoid.

Jim Keller, co-chair of the Firm’s Higher Education Practice, presents an update Monday morning (June 24) on student conduct litigation, covering shifting duties, the contractual relationship, due process expectations, student organizations and future important themes.

On Monday, Josh Richards, vice chair of the Firm’s Higher Education Practice, moderates a panel on anti-diversity complaints and how to spot and restructure programs that potentially conflict with Title VI or Title IX. The following day, Josh is a speaker in a panel discussing defending against claims by respondents in Title IX cases.
