Ethical Issues in Negotiating Contracts

Amy Kline, a partner in Saul Ewing’s Litigation Practice, is a panelist for this CLE course at the Association of Corporate Counsel Annual Meeting 2016 in San Francisco, California.

Amy and four other panelists are discussing how to handle uncomfortable situations that raise ethical questions during contract negotiations. This session will review the Rules of Professional Conduct and answer questions such as: how to handle situations when a third-party attorney contacts your client without your involvement; how to deal with non-lawyers who say that they have the authority to negotiate without a lawyer present; and more.
