REO Strategies: Negotiating Protections for Project Completion
September 28, 2013

Andrew Palmieri, a partner in the Real Estate Practice and Immediate Past Chair of the ABA Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law, will moderate this three-person panel that will discuss challenges that real estate workouts, and the associated revival of a stalled development project, pose to lenders.

The panel will examine:

  • Considerations for lenders in negotiating with their participating lenders to form a joint venture entity to take title to assets through foreclosure or deed-in-lieu;

  • Considerations for lenders in negotiating with new developers to joint venture on the completion of failed projects; and

  • Recent developments in mechanic’s lien claims on partially completed projects from the lender and title insurer perspectives.

The presentation will take place during the American College of Mortgage Attorneys (ACMA) Annual Meeting at the Four Seasons in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The annual meeting is scheduled for September 26 to September 28, 2013. For more information and to register, please click here.
