Presentations at National Proton Conference will cover “Purchase Agreements: Things to Consider” and “Evolving Vendor Relationships for Maturing Proton Therapy Centers”

Scott Patterson, a partner in Saul Ewing’s Health Care Technology Contracting Practice, leads two presentations at The National Association for Proton Therapy’s annual National Proton Conference (NPC). Scott’s understanding of the legal challenges facing this industry is informed by his experience representing 6 of the 25 proton centers now in operation in the United States, with other engagements for centers in development.

In his first presentation from 2:15 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on March 6, Scott will focus on key issues that a developing proton therapy center needs to consider in entering into purchase agreements for proton therapy equipment and related services. His second presentation from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. on March 8 focuses on the changing nature of the relationship between a proton therapy center and its equipment vendors as the facility ages and its needs evolve.
