Trip Riley to speak at RESPRO Conference

Talks will cover CFPB enforcement as well as marketing and work share agreements

Trip Riley, a partner and Co-chair of the Consumer Financial Services Practice, will be a speaker during the Annual Conference and 20th Anniversary Celebration of the Real Estate Services Providers Council in Washington, DC.

He will speak at two sessions. The first, at 10:30 a.m., is called “How to Navigate the CFPB Enforcement Maze.” Topics include an overview of actions most likely to trigger federal and state investigations into allegedly unfair and deceptive practices by mortgage and settlement services providers and tips on how to respond if such an investigation is launched. The second session, at 1:45 p.m., is called “Marketing and Work Share Agreements: Make Sure That Yours Comply with RESPA!” This session will cover the red flags that draw the attention of federal and state regulators and provide guidance on how to structure such agreements to minimize these risks.

The RESPRO Annual Conference will be held from March 13-15, 2013 at the Washington Court Hotel.
