Webinar: Class Actions 101 for College & University General Counsel

Institutions of higher education have increasingly become the targets of the plaintiffs' class action bar, but many institutions named as defendants in those class actions are finding themselves in that position for the first time. This seminar reviewed the types of class claims being asserted against colleges and universities, the unique challenges presented by class litigation, the strategies used to defeat certification of litigation classes, and the procedures governing class action litigation from initial motion practice, to discovery, and to adjudicate on the merits or settlement.

Jim Keller and Josh Richards hosted with the Chair of Saul Ewing's class actions practice group, Jim Morsch, presenting and answering his and your questions.
