Anna María Tejada has joined Saul Ewing as a partner in the Labor and Employment Practice, resident in the Newark office.
Ms. Tejada defends management in labor and employment litigation nationwide and provides counseling and workplace training on related matters affecting their operations. Drawing on more than 20 years of experience, Anna María advises clients on disputes ranging from employee discipline and accommodations to leaves of absence, and wage and hour matters. She also has experience with issues arising from disability, harassment and discrimination claims, as well as employee discharge, workforce reductions and whistleblower claims.
In addition, Ms. Tejada provides counseling on compliance with state and federal employment and labor laws and regulations. She also provides representation in administrative proceedings, investigations and compliance audits involving federal and state agencies. In litigation, she manages matters from pre-suit discovery, mediation and to the conclusion of the case.

She has served in various leadership positions in various bar associations, including as the 34th president of the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey (HBA-NJ). She is the president-elect of Executive Women of New Jersey, vice president of programs for the Hispanic National Bar Association, and founder and chair of the HBA-NJ’s American Dream Pipeline Program.
Ms. Tejada earned her J.D. from Rutgers School of Law-Newark. She also has a B.A. from Rutgers University.
