Saul Ewing actively recruits talented lawyers who complement and enhance our existing practices to join our law firm.

As the legal profession becomes one of increased attorney mobility, laterals seek new law firms for a variety of reasons: geographic, better platform for their clients, different culture and advancement opportunities. Our lateral attorneys have come to us from diverse backgrounds. We make it our job to ensure that our lateral attorneys can hit the ground running with a range of support to help transition their existing practice or to build a new one.

Saul Ewing has a rich history of providing excellent legal counsel to a range of clients in a variety of industries, providing community service in the cities and towns where we live and work, and providing pro bono services to those who otherwise could not afford it. 

Judicial Clerks

We encourage our summer associates to pursue judicial clerkships. The growth and skills that are acquired through hands-on experience working in the court system and directly with judges are invaluable.

Saul Ewing hires judicial clerks for specific practice groups. We offer class credit and competitive bonuses on a case-by-case basis for certain judicial clerkships.

Clerkship Bonus Structure

  • Federal Appellate Clerkships = $30,000
  • Federal District Court Clerkships = $25,000
  • Highest State Court Clerkships = $10,000
  • All other clerkships will be assessed for a bonus on a case-by-case basis.
