Frederick D. Strober
Fred Strober is a seasoned real estate lawyer who navigates non-profit organizations in the health, education and economic development sectors through complex development projects. During his career of more than 35 years, clients ranging from hospitals and health care institutions to school districts, universities, and office building owners have relied on Fred for legal advice with regard to transactional and construction matters. His experience extends to work with private-public partnerships on projects that transform neighborhoods and revive industries, such as legal work over 15 years in support of the redevelopment of more than 100 acres of the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard for a shipbuilding facility which has created over 1,000 manufacturing jobs.
Fred is sensitive to how the business needs of these and other organizations intersect with their legal challenges based on his own educational and leadership experiences. He has made decisions from an executive level as the past managing partner of Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr's Philadelphia office and as a past executive partner. Fred has insight on the operations of non-profit organization through the positions he holds on national and regional boards for several non-profit organizations, including his service as chairman of the Philadelphia/Southern Jersey chapter of the American Jewish Committee. In handling matters for school districts, he draws on his knowledge from serving as a school teacher and administrator and earning a master's degree in educational administration.
His ability to navigate the complex issue his clients face in making real estate and construction deals is also reflected in the many legal industry accolades Fred has received, including his membership in the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and his inclusion as one of "America's Leading Lawyers in Real Estate" in Chambers USA for 11 consecutive years, most recently with a Band 1 ranking in Pennsylvania.
