April Doss Quoted on Mueller Report in ABCNews, WSJ, Politico and Others
Cybersecurity and Privacy Practice chair and former National Security Agency counsel, April Doss, is quoted throughout the media regarding the 2019 unveiling of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report regarding Russian interference in the 2016 United States election. Per the Wall Street Journal, the report revealed that "Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election and sought to help Donald Trump win the White House."
In the Wall Street Journal, April commented: “Hopefully, what this report does is put to bed any lingering questions about what Russian intent or activities were during the 2016 presidential elections. This is a level of detail we have never seen before.”
Her insight continues in ABCNews: “…one of the things that makes this whole story complicated and nuanced is for a lot of these contacts, we know they happened but we don’t have perfect information about what was discussed… Merely reaching out isn’t necessarily a crime. But it all matters from a counter-intelligence perspective.”
