Arnstein & Lehr welcomes Carmen Contreras-Martinez to Miami office
The Miami office of Arnstein & Lehr is pleased to welcome Carmen Contreras-Martinez, joining the firm as an associate in the Litigation Practice. Ms. Contreras-Martinez brings more than 10 years of commercial litigation experience to the firm. Her practice extends to helping clients with securities and business litigation. She represents banks, commercial lenders and commercial property managers, among other clients. Prior to joining Arnstein & Lehr, she was involved in some of the largest class action and litigation matters in South Florida.
She was on the trial team that represented 700,000 doctors and medical societies against ten HMOs in the nation's largest and most successful class-action lawsuit against the managed care industry. Ms. Contreras-Martinez also handles federal receivership work, having served as counsel for court-appointed receivers. As counsel, she worked with the receiver for the nation's largest viatical settlement company. She also served as counsel for the receiver for an organization operating affinity fraud and related entities involved in a $68 million dollar Ponzi scheme, obtaining several multi-million dollar judgments on behalf of her client.
Ms. Contreras-Martinez earned her J.D. from New York Law School and her B.A. from Harvard University.
