Arnstein Partner Visits Israel in Celebration of Abe Foxman’s 50 Years with the Anti-Defamation League

Arnstein & Lehr LLP partner Howard J. Swibel recently visited Israel to celebrate National Director of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), Abraham H. Foxman’s 50 years in the league and his unyielding advocacy for the State of Israel over the years.

It was an especially significant mission as it was Mr. Foxman’s last official delegation to Israel prior to his retirement this month. Mr. Swibel joined nearly 40 Anti-Defamation League leaders from throughout the United States on the mission. They met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, former President Shimon Peres,  the U.S. Ambassador to Israel and other high government officials, diplomats and dignitaries.

Mr. Swibel said, “Attending this mission was a once-in-a lifetime experience that I will remember always.”

Mr. Swibel is a partner at Arnstein & Lehr LLP, where he has practiced since 1983. During a legal career spanning 40 years, Mr. Swibel has developed substantial expertise in both the corporate transactional and litigation areas. Mr. Swibel serves as a Trustee of the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center. He is also the vice chair of the Anti-Defamation League Midwest Region’s board of directors. Mr. Swibel is a member of the Harvard-Radcliffe Schools Committee. He also serves as vice president of the Community Foundation for Jewish Education for Metropolitan Chicago and as trustee of the Uniform Law Foundation.
