Bankruptcy practice gets a big boost in The Deal rankings
"Off the table", The Deal Pipeline
The Deal Pipeline, the widely read media company that covers the deal economy, has ranked Saul Ewing’s bankruptcy practice #6 in the nation in terms of volume (asset worth), which represents a 48-point jump from the firm's ranking of #54 from the 1st quarter of 2011.
Each quarter, The Deal releases its Bankruptcy League Tables, which rank law firms' bankruptcy practices by volume and by case load. The Bankruptcy League Tables by volume involve only active U.S. bankruptcy cases of debtors with assets of $10 million or more. The rankings are based on the aggregation of those asset values. Mark Minuti and Jeffrey Hampton, co-chairs of the Bankruptcy and Restructuring Department, attribute the high ranking to the high number of creditor assignments the firm is handling.
In addition, Mark and Joyce A. Kuhns, a partner in the department, were ranked among the top bankruptcy lawyers in the country. Mark was ranked #11; Joyce, #23.
