Burcat comments on Pennsylvania’s most anticipated Supreme Court decisions in Law 360 article
Joel Burcat, chair of Saul Ewing’s Oil and Gas Practice, is quoted in this article in Law 360 weighing in on Pennsylvania’s upcoming Supreme Court decisions. Burcat commented on one case involving the Pennsylvania Environmental Defense Foundation and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as well as the overall state of the Supreme Court. According to the article, 2016 marks the first time since October 2014 that the Pennsylvania Supreme Court will operate with a full complement of seven justices.
In regards to this amendment, Burcat said, “I think it’s going to make a huge change for the better. It takes cases a long time to make their way through the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. It’s not unusual for it to take a couple of years before cases are decided. It’s going to be a huge benefit for everyone to have decisions made more quickly.”
