Joel Burcat, partner and chair of Saul Ewing’s Energy Extraction Practice, comments on the impact of Pennsylvania’s new Department of Environmental Protection regulations on legal practices in the second article in a series of articles examining the potential effects of Pennsylvania's new oil and gas rules. In the article, Joel predicts that the number of oil and gas lawyers and practices in Pennsylvania may start to dwindle if energy companies relocate out of Pennsylvania. 

"Given a long-term downturn in the industry, caused not by the overabundance of fuel but by the companies deciding to move out of Pennsylvania and to do business elsewhere, that could have an impact on lawyers in Pennsylvania," Joel said in the article.
