Coleman Interviewed on Private Equity Trends in Law360
Al Coleman, Minneapolis Office Managing Partner and a partner in the Firm's Corporate Practice, is quoted in Law360 on key trends in private equity.
Al commented on U.S. economic expansion. "I think we all assume this can't last forever. The statistics suggest a downturn of some kind should be occurring in the next 18 months or so, but if anybody is being honest, many of us thought that a year ago it would be 18 months out. It would be foolish to try and predict with any certainty or specificity," he said.
He also remarked about the emergence of family offices as a competitor for private equity fund managers: "You have family offices that have really grown in size and stature. They have the same financial systems and models, and run similar processes to the more established private equity firms."
